The Centre serves as a resource to a range of stakeholders, including government, industry, and the public. Working collaboratively within a broad framework for health risk assessment and management, the Centre strives to address important population health risks and identify ways in which those risks can be effectively managed in Canada.

The Centre works closely with the federal government in both the assessment of critical health risks, and the incorporation of the results of its research programs into population health risk policy analysis. In this way, the Centre contributes to the development of effective population health policies and strategies in Canada.

The Centre for Population Health Risk Assessment has established linkages with leading academic institutions in the United States and abroad with ongoing research programs in health risk studies.
